Biopsy Results

The Doctors at Egleston have determined that both tumors are Gliomas, as far as what type it is still unknown. They should hopefully have results on that in the next little while.  Treatment options for this is still unknown as well.  Wylie should be home in the next few days in order to heal from his biopsy surgery.  He will need a minimum of 4 weeks to recover before they start any treatment.  On a lighter note, Wylie was up and walking around today with help.  He was able to stand for a little while to play Connect Four with one of the Nurses.  You know he won!
A little later Wylie was able to go outside for a while.  Fresh Air is a must... and the first stop... The Wishing Well

Wylie,

You are supposed to let the nurse win when you are just out of bed!! Just kidding! Glad to see you up. I hope the pain is less and you're feeling a bit better. We are thinking of you and praying for you ALL the time.

Love,

Glad to see you up, Buddy. We're thinking about you all the time. Take it easy on the nurses next time they want to play a game. We know you're always the best at whatever game you're playing. Hope to see you home in a few days. Hang in there and get plenty of rest.

Hey Jill and Sherri, I have a Aunt that is into alot of all natural healing and I asked her about this and she recomended the same amout of baking soda and honey, mixed with warm water drank twice a day. Just like 1 tablesphoon of honey and 1 of baking soda, and enough warm water to melt it. Dont know if it will help but sure doesnt sound like it would hurt. I will give you her email address you you would like. ALL MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU ALL

Hi Wylie,

I'm from Ontario Canada. I had a brain tumour too. It was a tumour on my hearing and balance nerve. I had lots of symptoms just like you're having now. You'll feel better every day as you recover from this last surgery, I'm sure of it. I am wishing you all the best in the coming days and weeks. Keep on kicking butt at connect four. My kids beat me all the time.

Saying prayers for you too Wylie, don't worry you have good doctors and they will figure out the best course to put you on the road to complete recovery. I had to do radiation and chemo, it was no fun, but i'm lots better now, and you will be too:) Hope you get to go home real soon.
